THE PRESS IS TALKING ABOUT US

The game of the week :
The founders. Virginie Deshayes and Thibaut Issindou created the Lyon-based company Gapsmoov in 2020. They developed the cultural management digital learning platform “Le Décodeur de cultures,” designed for companies and schools.
“The decline in the number of expatriates and international travel makes intercultural training even more relevant,” explains Thibaut Issindou.
The concept. The “Décodeur de cultures” is an online platform that helps decode cultural behaviors in sixty countries. Quizzes allow users to test their knowledge of a country to work more effectively with colleagues. The platform also offers video-learning sequences and business cases to place users in real-life situations.
“Our solution is here to replace intercultural management books with a simple and fun app,” says Thibaut Issindou.
Outlook. The “Décodeur de cultures” issues a certificate after key evaluations, such as the ability to negotiate or make a client presentation in a multicultural environment. The platform’s business model is based on the purchase of licenses—either by companies or schools—which are made available to their employees or students. The co-founders, who started with their own capital, plan to bring companies on board to support business development. CB
